College of Liberal Arts and SciencesThe College of Liberal Arts and Sciences prepares students for leadership roles in the changing economic, political, social and technological world. Our faculty are committed to excellent teaching and a student-centered focus. They contribute to the intellectual life of the University through research and scholarship in their disciplines, in the classroom and in service activities. Graduates are prepared for meaningful careers and for professional and graduate study. The college provides a broad range of General Education courses, offers degrees from ten departments and in seven graduate programs. In addition to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers the Bachelor of Nursing (B.S.N.) and Bachelor of University Studies (B.U.S.) degrees. University studies gives the student a broad-based undergraduate experience without the focused specialization of a major. A new degree at ENMU, the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, is available for those with associate's degrees in vocational or technical areas.
