American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is the professional, scientific and credentialing association for more than 118,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. The ASHA Web site contains information about careers in communication sciences and disorders, research, professional issues, continuing education, student information, and additional resources as well as information for the general public.

N.M. Regulation and Licensing Department

 

The N.M. Regulation and Licensing Department licenses and regulates speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and hearing aid dispensers. This website contains information regarding the scope of practice for these licenses as interpreted by the state of New Mexico, as well as information about the application process for licensure. You may also want to visit the Speech, Language and Hearing Board.

National Examination in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Information and registration materials for the PRAXIS series National Examination in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (NESPA) can be found at the ETS Teaching and Learning Division online. This site contains information on how the assessments are used, how to register to take the tests, how to get your scores and more.
