American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is the professional, scientific and credentialing association for more than 118,000 members and affiliates who are audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists. The ASHA Web site contains information about careers in communication sciences and disorders, research, professional issues, continuing education, student information, and additional resources as well as information for the general public.

National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA)—ENMU Chapter

New Mexico Speech and Hearing Association (NMSHA)

The New Mexico Speech-Language Hearing Association is the state's professional body of speech-language pathologists and audiologists. NMSHA's mission is to promote the interests of the professions and provide the highest quality of support services. NMSHA also aims to promote prevention and treatment of communication disabilities for the people of New Mexico. This site provides information for both members and nonmembers about the association's activities, CEU opportunities, up-to-date legislative information, licensure information, and resources for consumers and professionals.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)

The Council for Exceptional Children is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate government policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain information about conditions and resources. New Mexico Public Education Department (SDE)

The New Mexico State Department of Education is the agency responsible for implementing and monitoring public education in New Mexico.
