BSN Admission Checklist

Please follow these steps to apply for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Note: Registered Nurses (RNs) are eligible for admission to the BSN completion program while working on General Education requirements for their degrees.

  1. Apply for admission to Eastern (see online application process).
  2. Send your official transcripts to Eastern.
  3. Meet with your records clerk to develop an official degree plan.
  4. Complete the Application for Admission to the BSN completion program.
  5. Send a letter of intent and three letters of reference to the nursing program office. The letter of intent should state your purpose in applying to the program. At least two letters of reference must be from registered nurses. Send your letter and references to:

  6. Make an appointment for an admissions interview with the director. Call 505.562.2403 to set up an appointment. Bring the following to your interview:
    1. Verification of your:
      • Active RN licensure
      • Current CPR certification
      • Professional liability insurance healthcare provider
      • Immunity to rubella (titre) and to Hepatitis B
      • Freedom from active tuberculosis: Proof will vary and may include PPD or chest X-Ray.
    2. A copy of your degree plan from the records clerk
    3. Transcripts of your RN degree

    The Health Science Reasoning Exam must be taken prior to completion of your matriculation at ENMU. The timing of this exam is variable and should be discussed with your advisor prior to scheduling. Contact the Testing Center to schedule this test.
