BSN Admission Checklist

Please follow these steps to apply for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Note: Registered Nurses (RNs) are eligible for admission to the BSN completion program while working on General Education requirements for their degrees.

1. Complete the Application for Admission to the BSN completion program.
2. Apply for admission to Eastern (see online application process).
3. Send your official transcripts to Eastern.
4. Take the Health and Reasoning Test. Contact the Testing Center to schedule the test.
5. Send a letter of intent and three letters of reference to the nursing program office. The letter of intent should state your purpose in applying to the program. At least two letters of reference must be from registered nurses. Send your letter and references to:

6. Make an appointment for an admissions interview with the director. Call 575.562.2403 to set up an appointment. Have the following availale for your interview:
   • A copy of your degree plan from the records clerk
   • Transcripts of your RN degree
7. Send the following verifications of your nursing credentials to the above BSN- Completion Program address or fax to 575.562.2293:
   • CPR certification
   • Liability insurance
   • Immunization Records (Hep B, rubella, and TB)
8. Set up your student email account by contacting the IT Helpdesk at 575.562.4357.
