Nursing Student Resources

Students occasionally find themselves looking for additional resources. We've found a few we think might be helpful in your studies.

NURS Listserve

The Nursing Department maintains a listserve for our students. This group contains information specific to our department as well as immediate announcements such as class cancellations, re-schedulings, etc. Students are strongly advised to subscribe to the listserve and check their e-mail each day.

Subscribe online. You will be notified that you must be approved and should receive a confirmation e-mail when you have successfully subscribed. Please use your enmu.edu email address or your subscription will be rejected (this is a FERPA issue). Subscribing to the listserve is MANDATORY for ENMU Nursing students.

Once you have subscribed, you may post messages at: nursing@itsvv409.enmu.edu. Attachments are not supported and will be rejected. Please also be advised that you MUST type text into the subject line.

Writing & Presentation Supports

ENMU has a fully staffed writing lab on campus to assist our students in developing and refining their written communication skills. The Writing Center can be found in the Jack Williamson Liberal Arts Center (JWLA) and is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is available to all ENMU students.

ENMU also provides writing support for our distance students who are unable to travel to campus on a regular basis. The Online Writing Lab (OWL) provides tutoring and developmental writing services to students in need as requested.

Students often ask for information regarding American Psychological Association writing requirements. APA Style Resources and Writer's Workshop–Grammar, Writing & APA Style can help with these needs, as can the National Writing Center Association. Tips for oral presentations are also available online.
