Leslie Paternoster

Dr. Leslie Paternoster is the Director of Nursing and an Assistant Professor in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in the Nursing Program. She has been at Eastern since August of 2007, having previously taught nursing at Clovis Community College for 12 years.

Dr. Paternoster earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Eastern New Mexico University in 1994, her Master’s degree in Nursing Education from West Texas A & M University in 1997, and her doctorate in Educational Administration from New Mexico State University. Dr. Paternoster is a strong advocate of continued education and professional development in nursing and has been an instrumental impetus for developing the online delivery model currently offered at ENMU in Nursing. Her specialties include nursing education, intensive care nursing, and emergency care nursing.

When not working at Eastern, Dr. Paternoster enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time with her beautiful grand-daughter. She has been married for 20 fantastic years and has a wonderful son and daughter-in-law who she says, "make life worth living."
