Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS)

Eastern New Mexico University offers a new degree program designed for students who possess an associate's degree in vocational or technical areas earned at an institution accredited by a Council for Higher Education Accreditation-recognized agency who wish to obtain a bachelor's degree. The program is designed to be completed within two years of full-time enrollment following completion of the associate degree. Students seeking career advancement will have the opportunity to enhance and expand their vocational or technical competencies in this course of study leading to a well-rounded education.

After completing a total of 128 hours accepted by ENMU with a minimum of 32-33 of these hours at ENMU, including upper division work, the student is awarded the BAAS degree. The programs accept the associate degree into the bachelor's degree. Should the student decide to change his or her degree to a B.A. or B.S. degree, vocational transfer courses would no longer count toward the degree.
