Women's StudiesWomen's Studies is a multicultural program that integrates diverse perspectives and provides a forum to expand understanding and critical application of feminist scholarship. The Women's Studies Program is recommended for women and men who wish to combine a traditional major with a multidisciplinary exploration of issues related to women and gender, as they intersect with class, color, culture, region and sexuality. The minor and certificate are based on an interdisciplinary approach with courses offered in anthropology, communication, English, health, history, humanities, political science, psychology, sociology and other areas. Because students' reasons for seeking the minor or certificate are varied and individualistic, there is no predefined program of study. The program is tailored to individual needs and interests with flexibility to incorporate current courses. For additional information, please contact Dr. Nina Bjornsson. |
