The faculty encourage you to consider taking a course in Spanish to build on existing language skills or to study the language for the first time. It's an excellent way to extend your knowledge of a culture and civilization that has helped to shape the Southwest.

Knowledge of a second language is an advantage in almost every profession. Especially in the Southwest, a knowledge of Spanish is a decided plus in the work force.

Students may choose to major or minor in Spanish, to earn a major in Spanish with secondary licensure, or to earn subject matter endorsement/minor in either Spanish or Modern Languages.
