Aviation Science: Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science

The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science degree program in aviation science is designed for nontraditional students who have extensive field experience in aviation, college credit earned through other institutions and FAA certifications/licenses.

The B.A.A.S. is also for students who wish to study advanced aviation science as part of a liberal arts program and intend to continue their careers in the aviation industry. This program will provide the advanced academics to advance to higher levels in professional aviation-related careers.

Students in this degree program may complete all of their required courses online. High school courses in mathematics, chemistry, physics, computers and English are helpful.

Career Opportunities

The B.A.A.S. program offers a broad view of aviation and provides an academic foundation to pursue a wide range of jobs in ground operations and servicing, safety, maintenance, ticketing, scheduling and manufacturing.

Most students pursuing this degree have already been working in aviation-related positions and wish to pursue the B.A.A.S. to advance within their companies.
